Ch\u00e2teau Pardaillan was built in the 15th century in the midst of the 100 Years' War. At a time when the British and the French were fighting over land. Ch\u00e2teau Pardaillan has managed to remain profoundly French.<\/p>\n
A few centuries later, famous personalities such as Montaigne came here to rest. The famous philosopher of the Enlightenment used to visit his niece, Sainte Jeanne de Lestonnac, who chose the superb ch\u00e2teau, steeped in history, as her home.<\/p>\n
In 1909, the Roquefeuil family took over ownership of the estate, which has remained in the family for 4 generations.
