The 7th Edition of the China International Import Expo: A Global Meeting

The 7th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is currently taking place in Shanghai, from 5 to 10 November 2024. This major event aims to promote international trade and strengthen global economic ties. With over 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions, this edition sets a new record for participation.

The exhibition space is over 420,000 square metres, spread across several thematic areas, providing a diverse platform for companies around the world. Among the exhibitors, a record of  297 companies and industry leaders are present, demonstrating the growing importance of CIIE on the world stage.

Major exhibition areas include food and agricultural products, automobiles, smart industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and health products, as well as commercial services. This year, a special section dedicated to new materials was introduced, providing an international platform for sharing innovative resources in this sector.

The event also attracts 152 countries, regions and international organizations, setting a new record for international diversity. In parallel, the Hongqiao International Economic Forum includes a main forum and 19 sub-forms, addressing topics such as energy storage, artificial intelligence and trade liberalization.  

CIIE 2024 continues to serve as a key platform for businesses and countries around the world, fostering trade, innovation and international cooperation. The first days of the exhibition show a great potential for future collaborations and business opportunities, consolidating the CIIE as an essential event in the global commercial calendar.
